About Maitriloka Preston

Triratna Buddhist Shrine

Maitriloka Preston Buddhist Group is part of a worldwide Triratna Buddhist Community.  Triratna is a sanskrit word which translates to the Three Jewels.

Our order was founded in 1968  by Sangharakshita, an English Buddhist monk. He spent 20 years in India absorbing the depth and breadth of the Buddha's teachings.
